The Elbert family runs two delivery businesses, and they take turns with the calendar. Ice season runs during the warm months. Pellet season runs during the cold months. Different products, same family, same fleet.

We deliver whole pallets of heating pellets to homes and businesses across our five county service area. We drop the pallet off curbside in your driveway or at your garage door when completing the delivery. The minimum for delivery is one pallet.

Come by our dock at 7 Jay Gould Ct in Waldorf and buy pellets by the bag or by the pallet. There is no minimum, so grab two bags to try them out or a full pallet for the season. Pull up, we will load you up, and you will be back on the road in minutes

Are wood pellets hardwood or softwood?

O’Malley Power Pellets are made from 100% hardwood with no additives or toxins. Hardwood pellets burn hot and leave low ash, which means less cleanup between fills.

A ton of heating pellets is 50 bags at 40 pounds each, stacked on one pallet. When we say pallet and ton, we mean the same thing. Current bag and pallet pricing is on our order page.

O’Malley heating pellets are standard 40 pound stove pellets that work in any pellet appliance, including pellet stoves, inserts, furnaces, and boilers. If your appliance burns standard heating pellets, it burns these.

Premium grade heating pellets meet PFI Premium Fuel Standards for density, moisture, and ash content. O’Malley Power Pellets meet and exceed that standard, which is why they are the only brand Chesapeake Wood Pellets carries.

Heating pellets need to stay dry, and that is the whole job. Keep bags off the ground, inside a garage or shed, and unopened until they go in the stove. A pallet comes stacked and wrapped, so stored under cover it keeps all season. Whole pallets are available for delivery or pickup at our Waldorf location.

A 40 pound bag of heating pellets typically covers about a day of steady heating in a pellet stove, depending on the stove and how cold it is. That is why a pallet of 50 bags is the season-scale buy for most households.
